Is three months a long time to date without sex?

I've been seeing this guy for 3 months. The last time we were together we went started making out. I had to leave before it could go farther then that, now he is asking when am i going to spend a night. I am kinda scared to have sex with him because i really like him and all my other relationships i had sex with in the first month and that was all the relationship was about.

you can stay the night without sex, talk to him about it, he might just want to spend the night with you anyway
and no 3 months isnt a long time at all
