What gender roles do each sex play in modern and ancient Christianity?
What privledges do they have? What is expected of them? etc. All information is greatly appreciated!

Ancient: Men comprise humanity, women are possessions that are occasionally used for sex.
Modern: Same thing, but most sects need to do sort of an awkward dance between the old way of thinking and lip service to the equal rights movement.
